Ashley has been a film, television, and voice actress for over 30 years. A seasoned pro with an Emmy Award nomination under her belt, Ashley has been spending her time juggling her busy voice-over career with her pursuit of higher education. Ashley has obtained her MA and PhD in psychology. With all of this on her plate, Ashley has been on hiatus from on-camera work, focusing on her voice acting, clinical studies, and family.
As a child actor, Ashley originated the role of Marah Lewis on CBS's Guiding Light. Ashley's numerous other television credits include the hit Fox series, That 70’s Show, as the recurring character of Young Kitty. Ashley also starred regularly on two network television series, NBC's The Mommies and NBC's The Pretender.
Among her many film roles, Ashley was seen in MGM's feature film Ghost World, produced by John Malkovich and directed by Terry Zwigoff. Ashley also starred in the film, With Friends Like These…, with Bill Murray, Adam Arkin, and Laura San Giacomo for Penny Marshall’s company. Ashley’s other feature films include the renowned drama by Arthur Miller, The Crucible, directed by Nicholas Hytner, and starring Winona Ryder and Daniel Day-Lewis, and the popular animated feature Cats Don’t Dance, for Warner Brothers, opposite Scott Bakula and Kathy Najimy. Ashley has appeared in several made-for-television movies, including the CBS production of Neil Simon’s Jake’s Women, Ashley was thrilled to be directed by Glenn Jordan, and work opposite Alan Alda, Mira Sorvino, and Anne Archer.
Ashley has also had the good fortune to have worked alongside many well-known and talented actors and directors in her early years of acting. Among these people are Goldie Hawn and John Heard, in their thriller film, Deceived, directed by Damian Harris, Bette Midler, who was her mother in Stella, directed by John Erman, The Lemon Sisters, which starred Diane Keaton and Elliot Gould as Ashley’s dad, and the cult classic, Drop Dead Fred, with Phoebe Cates as Ashley’s older self.
